This remarkable Faitout, or cocotte, features the distinctive “CVD” stamp, which stands for "Cuivres d’Art Villedieu." This brand of copper cookware, produced by GAOR, showcases a unique monogram style that combines artistry with practicality. The CVD stamp features a simple round text cartouche: the initials “CVD” sit prominently in the center, with “Villedieu” arching above and “Made in France” below, Villedieu-Les-Poeles is located is Normandy, France and it’s known as the « Capital of Copper ». This not only signifies quality craftsmanship but also pays homage to the rich tradition of French copperware.
